Embracing Values and Ethics

Embracing Values and Ethics: Sathya, Dharma, Shanthi, Prema, and Ahimsa

At Sri Sathya Sai Prashanthi Niketanam College for Women, we are dedicated to nurturing a culture rooted in the timeless principles of Sathya (Truth), Dharma (Righteousness), Shanthi (Peace), Prema (Love), and Ahimsa (Non-violence). These values shape our educational ethos, guide our interactions, and inspire our students to become compassionate and responsible individuals.

Sathya (Truth):

We uphold the value of truth as the cornerstone of our institution. We encourage our students to embrace truthfulness in their thoughts, words, and actions. By promoting honesty, transparency, and integrity, we foster an environment where trust and authenticity flourish.

Dharma (Righteousness)

Dharma guides us in doing what is morally right and just. We instill in our students a deep sense of ethical responsibility and social consciousness. By upholding dharma, we inspire them to act with fairness, compassion, and empathy towards all living beings.

Shanthi (Peace)

Peace is essential for individual well-being and collective harmony. We create a peaceful and inclusive environment where students learn to resolve conflicts peacefully, practice mindfulness, and cultivate inner serenity. By nurturing a culture of peace, we foster positive relationships and a sense of well-being among our students.

Prema (Love)

Love forms the essence of our institution. We encourage our students to cultivate love, care, and empathy for themselves, others, and the world around them. Through acts of kindness, compassion, and respect, we create a nurturing environment where students feel valued, supported, and connected.

Ahimsa (Non-violence)

We promote the principle of ahimsa, which entails non-violence in thoughts, words, and actions. Our students learn to embrace non-violence as a way of life, respecting the dignity and rights of all living beings. By fostering a culture of non-violence, we promote empathy, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.

Values-Based Education

Our institution integrates values and ethics into every aspect of education. We infuse value-based teachings, discussions, and activities throughout the curriculum to help students understand the significance of these principles in their lives. We aim to develop their character, moral conscience, and sense of responsibility towards themselves, others, and the environment.

Social Responsibility

We encourage our students to be socially responsible and actively engaged in serving the community. Through community service initiatives, environmental awareness campaigns, and projects addressing social issues, we empower our students to make a positive impact and contribute to the betterment of society.

At Sri Sathya Sai Prashanthi Niketanam College for Women, we are committed to providing not only academic excellence but also nurturing the values and ethics rooted in Sathya, Dharma, Shanthi, Prema, and Ahimsa. By embracing these principles, we inspire our students to lead lives of integrity, compassion, and harmony. Together, let us cultivate a generation that upholds these values and strives to create a peaceful and inclusive world.

“Bhagwat Geeta” Guru Parampara

Spiritual  knowledge descends through the disciplic succession from Krishna. The representatives of the disciplic succession can not change anything, add anything or subtract anything. Otherwise the disciplic succession will be broken and their preaching will have no potency. Many times in the history this disciplic succession has been broken because the representatives of the disciplic succession did not correctly pass on the knowledge to their students.
