Education is one of the most critical areas of empowerment of women. Especially in the third world economies, the deprivation and ostracization that women and girl children suffer is a major reason for socio-economic under-development. Education is an area that offers some of the clearest examples of discrimination that women suffer in a society like India– A fact, borne by the following statistic-

CENTRE FOR HIGHER EDUCATION
It is based on Sri Sathya Sai philosophy of Integral Education in its true sense. Academic education will be only a small part of personality molding. The focus will be more on ‘man-making’ and ‘character-building’. The goal of spiritual advancement will be the soul of education here, along with training in yoga and physical activities.
CENTER FOR TRAINING TEACHERS AND DEVELOPMENT
This is a training and development centre to upgrade skills and knowledge of the teachers, who are already serving in various educational campuses. This wing will inculcate spiritual thirst and moral strength in the teachers. The objectives of the courses offered under this wing are to work on the ‘SQ’ (Spiritual Quotient) and ‘HQ’ (Happiness Quotient) of the candidates. This is besides providing them with necessary teaching , interpersonal and .communication skills
THE NEED/STATISTICS
1. Gross Enrolment of girls into secondary education in Urban areas is 78% whereas it drops to 25% in higher education whereas GER for Higher Education in Rural areas is 7%.
2. More than 70% of girl children discontinue their studies to take up employment that will supplement family income.
Offering basic education is one sure way of empowering women to making them equal stakeholders in life. An educated woman has the skills, information and self-confidence that she needs to be a better parent, worker and citizen. In the words of Aung San Suu Kyi, the education and empowerment of women throughout the world cannot fail to result in a more caring, tolerant, just and peaceful life for all.
This is the underlying idea behind Sri Sathya Sai PrashanthiNiketanam College of Human Excellence for Women. A veritable labor of love that has been scripted by Divine Will and strung together by PrashanthiBala Mandira Trust and Sai Seva Sangh, two organizations that have dedicated themselves to the cause of education and empowerment of the needy and the underprivileged.
PrashanthiBala Mandira Trust
PrashanthiBala Mandira Trust is a public charitable trust that was established in 1981, in the serene landscapes of Chikkaballapur in Karnataka. Inspired by the teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, PrashanthiBala Mandira has spread His message of Love All, Serve All by rendering selfless service to the needy and under privileged with a unique blend of spirituality and secularism. A seed then sown by men and women of great virtuosity and brilliance but with limited means has today blossomed and spread far and wide. Today, as part of the Educare mission of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the PrashanthiBala Mandira Trust has changed the lives of many families through 30 such free educational institutions in 15 campuses spread over 9 districts of Karnataka and providing free education to more than 5000 students from rural background.
The Sri Sathya Sai PrashanthiNiketanam college of Human Development for Women is the first institution of the PrashanthiBala Mandira Trust set up in Telangana in Kondapaka village in the Siddipet district.

Sri Sathya Sai PrashanthiNiketanam College of Human Excellence for Women is a culmination of the joint efforts of PrashanthiBala Mandira Trust and Sai Seva Sangh, inspired and blessed by, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. It is an endeavour to provide completely free value-based education to the girl children from predominantly rural and underprivileged backgrounds and providing them with opportunities in life. The college aims to create a means for these girls’ empowerment ranging from health, self-defense, leadership, entrepreneurship, to democracy and governance and employment opportunities. And while enabling all this, in the process, also making them excellent human beings who can become role models in future for society at large. The institute offers completely free of cost value-based education to all the enrolled students, more than 50% of who are either orphans or who are from extremely backward sections of the society

Kondapaka is a very prosperous, model village located 90 km from Hyderabad and 15 km from the busy commercial district of Siddipet in Telangana, India on Rajiv Rahadari It is very easily accessible via road or train.
Away from the hustle, bustle of city, there is a feel of tranquility about it. on In the picturesque harmony of dense green forests, in a nest of 7 Hills, 7 tranquil lakes, 7 glorious Hanuman Temples, 7 silent village foundation stones(saptanabhishilas) lies this abode of art and architecture. Thus this village is glorified with number seven. Its cultural heritage dates back to the Kakatiya Dynasty.
